Okay by now the spook that haunts the worlds of WWW everytime around that famed first day of April seems to be gone. The Visual Art’s (Partner) brands having joined this silliness took down their jokes (having collecting screenshots of some I stumbled over on 04/01 I will update this post in the upcoming few days with these for those having missed out on them btw. ^_~)…and Key still sticks with their 04/01 announcement of their “latest project decided after having been secretly in the works”. With a staff line-up that looks too freaking awesome to be true fullfulling wet dreams of Bishoujo/Visual Novel fans around the globus while most of us Key fanatics still approach it (given the date unveilled) with lot of doubts.
Is Rewrite really going to be the announced 10th Anniversary project by Key as hinted *before* 2008/04/01 via their top page banner? To add to this mystery, Key actually never or at least in recent years never joined this April Fool’s Day fake updates unlike other Softbrands famed for (TYPE-MOON, 0verflow, Nitro+, Circus, etc.). The details for this dubious yet if turning out true probably the most sought for Bishoujo Soft project ever announced according to Key’s Official site for it (which btw. goes up and down like there’s no tomorrow with the Key site server having taken an extended downtime today as well).

Honestly given the staff involved I must confess that I’m seriously incluined to believe that some of those people wouldn’t even have the time to join-up on such a project like Rewrite. Even more strange on 04/01 the Official 07th Expansion site merely commented the announcement with a Ryukishi07 drawn top-page illustration of Misuzu (AIR) and her catch-phrase displayed underneath the art. *Today* however the site has been slightly adjusted with the statement that Ryukishi07 will participate on the scenario for Key’s new work Rewrite… suspicious to update on something that might only be a April Fool’s Day Joke on 2nd April don’t you think? Btw. on Ryukishi07 related sidenote, work on the 3rd chapter to Umineko no Naku Koro ni is progressing and according to a recent entry at his diary a working title he’s thinking of for Umineko episode 3 is “Banquet of the golden witch”…of course subject or better said title to change ^_^).
